Obverse description
For the 750th anniversary of the birth of Amsterdam, the ticket features a photo of the north facade of the museum. This Gothic and Renaissance building, built in 1885, now houses the works of art of the country`s greatest artists from the 15th century to 1900. In the center is the coat of arms with the personal motto of Feike de Boer, mayor of Amsterdam after the liberation of the city in 1945, meaning `heroic`, `determined`, `merciful`.
