At the apex, the interlocked monogram of Colsmann und Co (CCW) serves as a heraldic header above the tabular inscription. The text, rendered in a bold, hand-lettered style, certifies the physical and commercial specifications of the disc itself: weight of 100 g, purity of 98/99% primary smelter aluminium (Hüttenaluminium), diameter of 98.4 mm, height of 4.9 mm, and the world market value in October 1923 equating to 0.20 Goldmark. The issuer's name COLSMANN UND CO and place of issue WERDOHL I.W. appear in the lower panels. Two stylised crescent or scroll ornaments flank the central panel on either side of the field, adding a decorative framing element to an otherwise utilitarian composition. |
